Data Access Policy

When courses, recorded workshops, or study materials are designated or marketed with "Lifetime Access", the term "lifetime" refers explicitly and solely to:

• The Operational Lifespan of the Skilltori Platform: "Lifetime" refers to the ongoing operational life and active commercial availability of the Skilltori platform and its underlying services, not the natural lifespan of the individual student or user.
• Active Course Availability: Access is guaranteed for as long as Skilltori maintains, hosts, and legally offers the specific course, program, or content item on the web.
• Account Standing: Lifetime access remains valid provided that the user's account remains in good standing and has not been suspended, locked, or terminated due to violation of our Terms of Service, academic misconduct, unauthorized distribution of content, or account sharing.

To provide reliable streaming across varying bandwidths and devices, video playback and media delivery on Skilltori depend on industry-leading third-party content delivery networks (CDNs) and video distribution technologies:

• Third-Party Platforms: Video playback leverages technologies provided by third parties, including but not limited to YouTube, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cloudflare Stream / CDN, and specialized video infrastructure providers.
• Dependency & Availability: The continuous playback, quality, encoding, and regional availability of video content are subject to the uptime, operational policies, terms of service, and technical constraints of these third-party platforms.
• External Outages: Temporary buffering, disruptions, or intermittent downtime resulting from third-party provider maintenance, global network routing issues, or regional ISP blocks fall outside Skilltori's direct control.

Course supplements, downloadable resources (such as source codes, dataset files, PDFs, slides, templates, and project guidelines) are stored and distributed through cloud storage and acceleration providers:

• Cloud Storage Infrastructure: Files and media assets are hosted on resilient cloud infrastructures including Amazon Web Services (AWS S3), Cloudflare R2 / CDN, and associated object storage solutions.
• Download Availability: Download speeds and link validity are directly reliant on these cloud providers. Skilltori recommends that students download and retain authorized supplementary study files on their local machines during their active study periods.

Skilltori is built upon modern, distributed cloud infrastructure. While we strive to maintain a high rate of availability and minimal latency, platform uptime depends directly upon the operational health of our infrastructure partners:

• Core Infrastructure Providers: Our web application, authentication system, database transactions, and background workers rely on Vercel, Supabase, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Cloudflare.
• Scheduled Maintenance: Skilltori and its infrastructure vendors periodically conduct routine upgrades, security patching, and database optimization. Where feasible, advance notice of planned maintenance windows will be communicated.
• Force Majeure & Uncontrollable Events: Skilltori shall not be held liable for temporary platform inaccessibility caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including upstream provider outages, distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, natural catastrophes, telecommunication backbone failures, or regulatory interventions.

In fast-evolving technology, research, and technical disciplines, course curricula may become outdated over time:

• Updates & Revisions: Skilltori and its instructors reserve the right to revise, update, replace, or restructure lessons and materials to maintain instructional quality and industry relevance.
• Discontinuation Notice: If a specific course or program must be permanently retired or removed due to legal, licensing, technical, or business considerations, Skilltori will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users via email or on-platform announcements at least 30 days prior to permanent removal.

Authorized access to Skilltori resources is granted strictly to the registered account owner for personal educational purposes:

• Credentials must remain confidential and must never be shared, leased, sold, or transferred to third parties.
• Automated extraction, screen scraping, bulk downloading of stream assets, or reverse engineering of video encryption is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate account termination without refund.
• Users are responsible for ensuring that their own client devices, internet connectivity, and web browsers meet the technical requirements necessary to access modern web video and cloud applications.
